Game drive

Enjoy a game drive, in an open 4 wheel drive vehicle, escorted by a highly trained and experienced ecologist. As well as viewing wildlife, you can enjoy the serenity of the indigenous flora,   an often overlooked integral part of an ecosystem.

Game walks

Spend a few hours with us immersed in the wonders of the local vegetation and begin to understand the value that the vegetation has in underpinning the wildlife, and the interdependency that exists between soil, fauna and flora. Local information about the vegetation and game make for light conversation topics en route.

Olifants River

Sit by the Olifants river for sundowners or a champagne breakfast.

Muweti Experience Package

4 day package for 4-8 guests. Sleep out in Kruger Park hide. Beers and wine included in Kruger sleep out. 2 game drives in Kruger, Sleep out in the open in big 5 open area , local bush walk and game drives. Depending on numbers, R1380 to R1560 pppn.

Bush Cuisine

Prepare and sample authentic South African cuisine in a beautiful bush setting.  Kiboko Khaya (KK) Bush Cuisine Safaris lead the field.  This full five-day experience will be the the first of its kind. Under the watchful eye of our expert master chef, Pauline Koen, participants will observe and help prepare South African specialities using ingredients, locally sourced but generally widely available.  Fruits of participants' labours will be enjoyed by all - be it breakfast, lunch or dinner - on the magnificent decking of KK, and all this while hippo, elephant and an abundance of other wildlife have to fend and forage for themselves right under our very noses. Minimum 6 people and by arrangement only.

Sleeping under the Stars

The idea of this activity is to give our guests a never to be forgotten experience of sleeping rough under the stars. Guests will be required to take their turn in keeping watch for an hour or two at a time (depends on how many guests are involved). A duty roster will be organised around the campfire- all part of the experience! An armed guide will be in camp at all times.

Cheetah Breeding Project

As one of the country's leading private research and breeding facilities, this unique project concerns itself with the breeding and protection of several endangered indigenous wildlife species in Southern Africa. Initially established as a breeding centre for cheetah, this centre soon expanded to include many other endangered species.

Balloon Safari

Imagine drifting silently above herds of elephant and other game moving across the landscape. Early morning balloon excursions are offered from a launch site 50 minutes from our lodge. They are subject to availability and weather conditions.

Panorama Tour

A tour guide will collect guests from various lodges at around 09h00, but alternative pick up times can be arranged to suit clients’ needs. Route covered is usually Abel Erasmus Pass, Graskop (lunch excluded), God's Window, Bourke's Luck Potholes, Three Rondawels and other Panorama route attractions. Time is allowed to shop for curios at various excellent shops and local craft vendors along the way. This is one of the most scenic routes in the region. Return at approx. 17h00.

Amarula Lapa Tour

Limpopo (Phalaborwa) is also home to the famous Amarula Cream Liqueur. The Amarula Lapa is a promotional tasting and tourist visitor centre situated 20 km from our lodge. Amarula Cream, made from the fruit of the indigenous marula tree (also known as the 'marriage tree' or 'elephant tree'), dates back to 1989 and has since grown into a world famous liqueur.

Hans Merensky Golf Course

25 kms from our lodge, this golf course is a major attraction due to the visiting wildlife - the course is bordered by the Kruger National Park near the Phalaborwa Gate and many of the Park's inhabitants pay scant regard to fencing. Particularly during the drier, winter months, elephants, several species of antelope, giraffe, warthogs and even the big cats can be spotted.

Coaching in the Bush

We have a resident qualified coach at the lodge, coaching sessions can be booked for you while your partner enjoys the other activities. The coaching sessions can be customised according to your individual needs and length of your stay. More information can be sent to you on request.
